Circles and bells
I've been working on this little project off and on for a few months and I thought I had better show off a little of it.
The round balls are what the pattern is set for but I thought it would be fun to make a few other shapes from them too. Too bad almost all my Christmas paper is double sided and I think it's a waste of good paper. Instead I've been scanning and printing off to make extras.
I wish I could make my own program to be able to scan in paper and make my own bell paper. I just think it would be so much fun. I have a few other smaller circle punches I hope to use to make some tiny ornaments very soon. In the end, I hope our Christmas tree is very colorful!
Sorry the pictures are a little off. My camera isn't focusing right these days. Very disappointing when it's just been to the company for a cleaning and repair.
Happy crafting!

A Birthday
We have just a few friends here so any change to get together is a really big deal, add in a 50th birthday and things can get way over the top fast. We were leaving for a trip the next morning so in the middle of naps and packing I did manage to make this card for our friend. The flowers and music note paper I took off a card my mother-in-law sent to us. It just seemed so perfect for my music loving friend and it matched my papers so well. The party was a surprise and she never had a clue.
My reward for the homemade card, she send me ribbons from her gifts. As funny as it sounds, I can't find ribbon here.
I can smell fall in the air! Can't wait for those Halloween papers to get here!

Steal of a deal
Worth the wait
So, I'm finally able to post to post one of my latest creations. My sister had the sweetest little boy in April. I got to meet him in July. he's a rolly polly chunky little dude with big full baby cheeks. I can't get enough of him. : D
Her birthday was mid August and I so wanted to do something special for her first one as a mom. I wish I trusted the China Post to get something to her without being damaged, but I don't. I opted instead to make her something in Digi, have it printed and mailed to her from the US.
Now, I'm telling you, if I had everything I needed in my stash I could have made this in paper a WHOLE lot faster than it took me to make it with photo shop! # days to do this baby!!! However, with Digi I do get to play some in ways I couldn't with paper. The star paper was free! I just cropped to get the 3 little stars alone. I love how adding the shadows to everything makes it look more real and layered.
I'm not working on another HUGE project. I should have enough done in a week or 2 to show off. ; )

Been a while, lots of changes~!
As you can see it's been forever since I've blogged about anything. Well we moved to China and life has been beyond crazy for me. My son just started Pre-K last Thursday and while he was gone and off and on over a 3 day time I did a little digi scrapping. I promise to post it soon but it has to wait a bit. : D
Anyways, just letting you know to watch out as I'm going to be back with some new additions soon.

Smilebox Halloween 2009
Sometimes I need to send pictures to my in-laws and I would love to scrap them so I use Smilebox. It's fast and easy but feels like I did something crafty too. Here's the lastest one I did for them.

Paperplay challenge from week of Oct. 1st
09 Week 37 - Dei's Challenge: Pale and Interesting
"Pale and Interesting".
I would like to see you use predominantly white with just one colour as an accent! Have fun!

So I set about doing my layout.
But it was not my week for "me" time. I have these sweet pages of my son all set in my head but one thing (rain) or another (someone being sick, kids and now me) has kept me from finishing them. I will though and wheni do I'll post them! Now it's off to bed so I can get well. Oh and my batery died but it was pouring down rain, again, and I wasn't going to go back in and out to get a better picture tonight.
